Update: Asus came through for me and repaied my laptop free of charge. I am very happy and appreciate their help.

I've had my Asus laptop less than a year and the power port started acting up until finally I couldn't charge it at all. Brought it to my local repair guy and he said he couldn't get part for it, etc.

Called/wrote then wrote again to Asus service to no avail. They just said send it in and for a MINIMUM price of $100 they will look at it, etc. Then they will let me know how much to repair it. I have no choice but to send it to them and see what outrageous price it'll cost to get it fixed.

Never again...I should have read these posts before I bought it. Live and learn...

I have one and and every since I bought the notebook I have had more problems. I thought I was getting the best of technology but I was fooled and now they are calling me saying my license has runout and I haven't had it 2 years wow help I am flustered to the max!,
